Session Description: This module introduces practitioners to the importance of understanding adolescent development in the context of continued, long-term cannabis use. In addition to the obvious physical changes, there are significant cognitive, emotional, social, and behavioral developments that occur in adolescence. Through research, it has been determined that cannabis continues to be the drug of choice for most teens. Juvenile Treatment Court teams should consider the research and recommended practices associated with reductions in cannabis use.
