This session will provide the framework to address the problem-Impaired Driving. Fortunately, impaired driving is 100% preventable. Topics covered will include data, enforcement, accountability, and effective interventions. A basic framework of the Maryland Highway Safety Office (MHSO) Impaired Driving Emphasis Area Team will be discussed. Key areas of emphasis will be the use of data to develop effective impaired driving countermeasures. This session is ideal for those who work on a multidisciplinary team whose target population are impaired driving offenders.
