ASSESSMENT TECHNIQUE

During facilitated discussions, Court Officials will explore the essential techniques for basic drug identification. They will gain a comprehensive understanding of the most common ways drugs are sold. The instructor will employ PowerPoint presentations and props to illustrate different types of narcotics, providing court officials with valuable insights that they will apply in their Court official roles.

ANTICIPATORY SET: This class is designed to educate court officials about the fundamentals of drug identification and provide insights on the most common ways drugs are sold. This class will help identify possession V Possession with the intent to sell CDS.  By the end of the presentation, court officials should have a solid grasp of the various narcotics they may encounter while working as court official.  As a bonus, Court Officials will learn how to field test drugs.
 
PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES 
Court Officials will gain an understanding of the definition of controlled substances schedules, different ways drugs are sold illegally, identification of possession V PWID, the difference between opiates and opioid drugs and what is prescription fraud.
