Deputy First Class Michael Farmer is the designated liaison for the Wicomico County Adult Drug Treatment Court Program the from the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office. Deputy Farmer has served in this role since 2020 and throughout that time has developed remarkable rapport with Treatment Court Participants. Deputy Farmer has completed numerous professional development and training opportunities through the Office of Problem-Solving Courts and All Rise. Deputy Farmer graduated from the Eastern Shore Criminal Justice Academy in 2007 and has served with the Sheriff’s Office for the last 18 years. Prior to assignment to the Court’s Division Deputy Farmer was assigned to the School Resource Division as well as the Patrol Division. Deputy Farmer is CIT trained and has received additional training through the National Association of School Resource Officers, Mid-Atlantic Regional Gang Investigators Network and is taser certified. Deputy Farmer graduated from Salisbury State University with a bachelor’s degree in physical education with a concentration in health and fitness. In his free time Deputy Farmer enjoys spending time with his family, time in the gym and time fishing.
