About me
Heather Amador is the Director of Victim Services Policy and Programs at the Governor’s Office of Crime Prevention and Policy. She has been with the Office since January 2019. Some of her projects include nPEP, witness relocation, the Regional Navigator program, and the procurement and development of the Sexual Assault Evidence Tracking System. More recently, Heather has taken on grant administration responsibilities for all victim services grants.
Prior to joining the State, Heather served as a victim advocate and the Director of Victim Services at the Anne Arundel County State’s Attorney’s Office for over twenty-one years. Heather worked with victims of every type of crime, but specialized in juvenile offenses, human trafficking, sex crimes, child abuse, and homicide. She served as chair of the County’s Witness Relocation Program and the Anne Arundel County Domestic Violence Coordinating Council. She is a certified forensic interviewer.
