About me

Kelly Loo Jones is a Senior Program Associate at Children and Family Futures, working in the Family Treatment (FTC) Court Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program, providing coaching and TTA to state- and local-level court, child welfare, substance use disorder treatment, and justice systems. She has over 12 years of experience building and strengthening the capacity of systems to implement trauma-informed, family-centered, and evidence-based models, practices, and policies to improve outcomes for children, youth, and families affected by substance use who experience multisystem involvement. She presents across the nation as a subject matter expert on FTCs, collaboration, and family-centered, trauma-informed approaches with a focus on children and families who experience multisystem involvement. She is a skilled facilitator with a keen ability to enhance communication pathways and build collaborative consensus, advance team mission and vision, and enhance service delivery along a continuum of care. Her personal experience as a mother of an adult son in long-term recovery contributes to her passion to disrupt stigma and advocate for families affected by substance use disorder, create lasting systems level change through policy and practice, and transform the hearts and minds of practitioners to serve families with a balance of empathy and accountability.
