About me
My name is Monique Knight, and I am one of the guest speakers on the Graduate Panel for the OPSC Symposium. I am a proud graduate of The Family Recovery Program Inc. FRP successfully supports families with children who have been removed for reasons substantially related to substance use and provides specialized programs to meet the recovery needs of the parents. My journey began at FRP on May 16, 2017, on March 2, 2018, I successfully graduated from the program. I moved to Sage Center (FRP) on September 14, 2017. I completed the program on June 1, 2020. This organization helped me get myself back on track after dealing with substance abuse for over twenty years. The Family Recovery Program also helped me be reunified with my daughter, Kwaja. As a result of my dedication and perseverance, I have gained employment with FRP as a Re-engagement Specialist, and I am working on becoming a Peer Recovery Specialist.
