About me
William Ryan Jackson is an Assistant States Attorney in Wicomico County, known for his dedication to justice and community service. Since April 2021, he has served as the drug court prosecutor, specializing in problem-solving courts and working diligently to provide alternatives to traditional sentencing while promoting rehabilitation for individuals struggling with substance use disorders. Prior to moving to Wicomico County, William clerked for the Honorable Vicki M. Pauler, Associate Judge for the Circuit Court of Washington County from June 2019 to April 2021. This experience allowed him to gain invaluable insights into the judicial process and further fueled his passion for public service and the law.
William earned his degree from University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth School of Law, where he developed a keen interest in criminal law and the impact of addiction on communities. His commitment to fairness and integrity drives him to advocate for victims' rights while ensuring that due process is upheld for all individuals involved in the legal system.
In addition to his professional work, William is actively engaged in trainings and research of best practices put on by AllRise. Outside the courtroom, he is a passionate Washington Capitals fan, enjoying the excitement of hockey and supporting his team through every season. He also enjoys traveling, exploring new cultures and destinations, which helps him maintain a well-rounded and fulfilling life. With a focus on building a safer and more just society, William Ryan Jackson continues to make a positive impact in Wicomico County through his innovative approach to addressing the challenges of addiction and crime.
